Carnaby your Valentine today?

Black cockatoos are extremely affectionate between each others. They can bond for life. However, their nesting hollows are disappearing. We could lose them forever.

Over the past century, the south western landscape has become increasingly fragmented and degraded resulting in fewer nesting and feeding sites. As a direct result fewer chicks are surviving to breeding age and population numbers have dramatically declined. I have always wanted to create a Valentine’s Day theme with the black cockatoos at Kaarakin as they are such cuties. I hope you enjoy the video and the photos!

Spread the love for our iconic birds today by sharing this video or support Kaarakin by donating or purchasing an adoption certificate. Your support means a lot to Kaarakin’s black cockatoos. www.blackcockatoorecovery.com

Alternatively, you can support my photography and videography work by purchasing prints. All my work at Kaarakin is done as a a volunteer.
